There is a centroid point for each Forest Preserve and was derived using ET Geo Wizards Polygon to Point tool, utilizing Forest Preserve Boundaries layers. The conversion to centers was completed using the Center Inside Rule - which creates points representing the centroids of polygons and if the centroid occurs outside of the Forest Preserve Polygonm, the point is moved to be inside the polygon. |
